中国鉄道省は木曜に、最高速度時速250キロの列車は200キロに制限すると発表した。
これは運賃収入や鉄道網の運行スケジュールに影響を及ぼす。
The railways ministry announced on Thursday that trains designed to run at a maximum speed of 250 kilometres per hour would instead be limited to 200kph, impacting ticket prices and network timetables.
2010年12月には同省は中国の列車は時速486キロを達成したと発表した。これは通常の列車の世界記録。ただし、今年になってき裂が広がり始めた。
当局は、同省幹部の汚職事件発覚の後で、路線運行では時速300キロへの速度制限を行うことにした。
In December 2010, the railways ministry announced that a Chinese train had reached a speed of 486kph, smashing the world record for an unmodified train. Earlier this year, however, cracks started to emerge.
Authorities decided to limit speeds on the network to 300kph, following allegations of high-level corruption in the rail sector.

昆明の違法なアップル模造店舗に対する捜査は、同市に居住するアメリカ人がそのような店を訪れた体験をブログで書いたのがきっかだった。
The investigation into unauthorised Apple stores in Kunming was brought about when an American living in the city published a blog post describing a visit to one such shop.
このような店舗で販売しているのが正規のアップル製品か、グレイ市場で買い入れた製品かは不明。
It is not clear whether the shops being reprimanded were selling legitimate Apple products or those bought on the grey market.
