日本の輸出の落ち込みはエコノミストの予測を下回った。
世界第三位の経済は3月11日の津波後の不況から立ち直りつつあることを示ししている。
Japan’s exports fell less than economists expected, signaling the world’s third-largest economy is emerging from a slowdown after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.
６月には前年比で輸出は1.6%低下した。財務省の本日の発表によれば、これは過去４ヶ月で最も緩やかな落ち込みである。３月には10.3%の落ち込みだった。
ブルーンバーグ・ニュースが27人のエコノミストを対象とした調査によれば、その予測の中間値は4.1%の落ち込みだった。
Exports decreased 1.6 percent in June from a year earlier, the slowest fall in four months and following a 10.3 percent drop in May, the Finance Ministry said today. The median estimate of 27 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News was for a 4.1 percent decline.
7月14日には円はこの４ヶ月で最高値の78.47円となった。これは輸出による利益を損なうものだ。
The yen strengthened to a four-month high of 78.47 against the dollar on July 14, threatening to hurt exporters’ earnings.

日本は６月に中国とヨーロッパへの輸出が回復し予期せぬ貿易黒字をあげた。
これは貿易に依存する日本の経済が３月１１日の地震と津波の被害から継続して回復することを示す３ヵ月ぶりの明るい材料である。
JAPAN posted an unexpected trade surplus in June on rebounding exports to China and Europe -- the first positive reading in three months as the country's export-dependent economy continued to recover from the devastation of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.
本日の財務省のデータによれば、物の貿易の黒字は707億円である。
エコノミストは1486億円の赤字を予測していた。５月には8558億円の赤字だった。
The surplus in the trade of goods stood at Y70.7 billion ($839 million), Finance Ministry data showed today, beating economists' forecast for a Y148.6bn deficit and compared with a Y855.8bn shortfall in May.
